how do women qualify when most girls in rural schools dont have access to the classroom because they must go thru harmful traditional practices? This is a traditional practice that is wholesomely encouraged by the very mother who were subjected to the same sadistic and animalistic practices....
how do qomen become qualified when they cannot complete six grade because at 13-14, they looked 'beautiful and special' to the teacher? I dont believe women are dropping out of school becuz they are special and beautiful...Again lets discuss the real issue here and not get emotional.....
to discuss these things are not divisive since it is commonplace in our country. the paradigm shift is in identifying the issues, working working with the structures that support these violations; support our girls to excel like their brothers...and encourgae qualified women to seek leadership role. a woman or girl who is not prepared because of rights violation will never be a senator. the legislature is preparing to have a strategic planning session-or has had it. the planning team i heard comprised 4 male legislators. i asked one of them why no woman was onboard-his response-what do they know? this is less than 2 weeks ago. reache where their brother
Candy there's no question that our legislative body is incompetent and ignorant....all of those men were elected by male and female voters...change will not come by biting, screaming and kicking.....Qualified women have to step up to the plate and get elected.....Thats the only way the paradigm will shift.....That's how you create a new social order that will respect, honor and protect women in Liberia..... | [/quote] |

how do women qualify when most girls in rural schools dont have access to the classroom because they must go thru harmful traditional practices? This is a traditional practice that is wholesomely encouraged by the very mother who were subjected to the same sadistic and animalistic practices....from experience, i know that it is supported by the society...implemented by women but you shd hear voices when there is a call to abolish this.

I dont believe women are dropping out of school becuz they are special and beautiful...Again lets discuss the real issue here and not get emotional..... 'beautiful and special' is what teachers tell girls when they are making advances. this is the real issue and i swear on my kids...i am not being emotional. i visited 12 communities in march and met teachers who have nicknames like loverboy, pick the best, the naked morale will knock you down. this is what is happening in our country, jclif. no manufacturing on my part.

If you were raise to eat soap you definitely will teach your kids to eat soap. Women in the rural areas that encourage these action didn't see the other side or experience education to fight for their daughters to get that. As far a s they know, they survived without it so changing "their" way of life won't be welcome with open arms

I am only replying to your comment which infers that men have also suffered and should also be given some sympathy for their deaths in various wars and conflicts, as if it is the women who brought on the conflicts. Just a thought.... |
I can post horrendous pictures of men bing murder also that will not make make peace around the world….I don’t believe taking a negative stance and bashing males makes any inch to the progress of women around the world…---HB
My original qoute above in red....was saying that posting of people being killed or murdered has not brought an end to wars around the world....I rest in this case... |
