And so he saw the skull in the sand, way in the bush beside the mountain. He just couldn't believe his eyes. The war had been over so long, who could have possibly killed somebody and left their head to rot in this part.

He was torn between taking the head or just leaving it there and telling the story when he got back to Red Light.

When he turned, he just heard the voice. "So, you leaving me here?"

He was astonished, for real. He turned around, and around looking everywhere. I know you can just see him in your haid looking ehn.

He then took tender steps to the skull, to check, and then it spoke again. ARe you going to leave me here like this..?

And then he asked he asked the skull that fateful question...

Wettin brought you here....?

The skull did not say anything right away. It paused, I guess the man was looking inside the mouth to see if it would talk again. Then he turned around as if to go, then the skull said it again.

"So you will leave me here?"

This time, he jumped. He was really scared. He fell.

While on the ground, he crept towards where the skull was, and then he asked again, "Wettin happin, if you can talk, tell me, wettin brought you here?"

The silence.

And then while looking in the skull mouth, the skull decided to talk.

It said, "The same thing wuh brought me here is the same thing that will bring you here."
