| The people in that country are poor and in such a case they have no option. With all the smart people from India and the acquisition of Nuclear bomb, I don't know what their country is so poor. Prositution is a way of life in India. What a disgrace.. |

| the sex trade takes many forms. some political, others based on semantics-bt the bottomline is that most women dont have access to opportunities that will make them financially independent. i always say-a girl who was 5 in 1990 and did not go to school at all, can't apply for a job in a bank or at a school to teach. with pressing matters like kids tuition, food and medical care-it is almost always an option to shift to the world's oldest profession, which may not require as much skills as banking. i once talked to this guy who said, what are u guys doing for yr sisters in the street selling themelves? response-we work with them and their customers. this describes the dire situation women find themselves in. | bellah wrote: | | The people in that country are poor and in such a case they have no option. seriously though.. your have a point... i dont think they have a choice... but at least with the banking thingie they got going, they at least have control over their finances adn not some pimp taking half the cut
