A high-level Liberian Cabinet delegation is scheduled to visit Atlanta, Georgia to hold a town-hall meeting with Liberians regarding progress made in the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS).
Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs - Minister Amara Konneh Ministry of Public Works - Minister Kofi Woods Dr. William Allen, Director General of Civil Service strategies for reducing poverty in Liberia Participants are expected to focus on four themes:
- Governance and capacity development
- Private sector development and women's empowerment
- Diaspora engagement and hometown associations
- "Brain gain" and information technology
Participants are expected to come prepared to make suggestions on how [b]to revitalize Liberia and to improve channels for remittance.
The forum is open to the public and will be hosted by The Liberian Association of Metropolitan Atlanta (LAMAA), The Union of Liberian Association in the Americas (ULAA) , the Liberian Embassy, etc . [/b]
