China Donates Malaria Drugs To Liberia”
The Chinese Embassy in Monrovia has donated some 600,000 doses of ant malaria drugs to the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Health (MOH) to be distributed by the National Malaria Control Program. Speaking at the turnover ceremony on the compound of MOH, Chinese Ambassador, Zhou Yuxiao, said the donation was a way of his country’s support for Liberian in its health delivery endeavor. Ambassador Yuxiao continued that presently China has doctors at the JFK Hospital and that the Chinese doctors have created an anti- malaria unit in the hospital. For his part, the Minister of Health, Dr. Walter Gwengale lauded the Republic of China for the numerous contributions they are undertaking in Liberia.
