What ever happened to Yewande Adebayo?


She's the songstress daughter of Gebah and Maudeline Swarey. Gebah of cousrse is the legendary member
of the artist/producer duo Zack and Gebah. The famous Liberian pair produced many classics such as
"Sweet Liberia".

Yewande was given a gala launching in New York in 2005 for her social album, "Music for Change". Unfortunately,
I've not heard much else since them. Pity though, I felt she had a lot of promise. The lack of support remains a
big stumbling block for Liberian artists making a major impact in the industry. It is only among many though, which
generally include lack of...exposure, production expertise and facilities, distrbution sources and effective marketing
strategems.

But I will jes keep supporting them in my own little way in my own little corner.
