Leading International Women Activists Discuss War and peace in Minnesota

On a cold, windy, fall Sunday afternoon recently, nearly 75 people gathered at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul to listen to a panel of women tell their stories of war and ways to find peace. The panelists included: Aicha Cooper, the current Miss Liberia-Minnesota and founder of Remember Our Children (ROC Project); Harper McConnell, director of development of Heal Africa, a non-profit organization working in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); and Muna Matar, a professor of computer science at Bethlehem University in Palestine.
