A THIN LINE BETWEEN ADVOCACY AND PREJUDICE (The Recent Alleged Rape Case)

In a recent alleged rape case, emotions have been running wild in Monrovia with the lines between advocacy and prejudice being blurred. The Gender Minister, Ms. Varflah Gayflor has assumed the mantle of an advocate for women, and forgotten that her ministry’s mandate is also to protect men. No one condones rape, least to say that of a two year old. As a parent of a soon to be five year old girl, my threshold for any man coming in close proximity to violating her innocence and that of all little girls is as thin as can be.
