Subject: Prayer For A Lost Son Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:26 pm

Prayer for A Lost Son

Father God there are no earthly words to ease the pain
of a loss that cannot be retrieved.
It is only through the Comforter at this darkest of hour,
that any consolation will be received.

Understanding why we must bear this sorrow now,
is not within our grasp.
We place our mournful search for answers
in your omnipotent, all knowing hands.

With heavy hearts we lift up our son
who you blessed us with but for this while.
We pray that you receive into your loving care,
the soul of our beloved child.

No one understands the loss of a precious son
more than you do Lord.
In your bountiful compassion, strengthen those of us
that remain in this troubled world.

Your will for us is in all circumstances is to rejoice and pray and give thanks.
Difficult as it is at this moment we rejoice
that you left your comforting Holy Spirit with us for times such as this.
We pray that our tears shall wash away our pain
like a healing and cleansing rain.

We give thanks in Jesus saving name
that in the sweet by and by we shall see our son again.

Amen

At First, I was a little girl
Innocent, trusting, naïve, playful
with nary a care

Then I became a Miss
budding, curious, shy, impressionable
with nary a care

Later, I became a young woman
Bold, Sassy, Daring, Vivacious
with nary a care

Now today, I am a Woman
A fulfilled woman
A mom, a wife
Career mom, Modern Wife

I have become aware
Aware of myself
Aware of desires unknown
With awareness has come dreams, goals, plans, responsibilities
Ah Ha!

Responsibilities, responsibilities, responsibilities.

Now I wish I was that little girl again
Innocent, trusting, naïve, shy
With nary a care.

Brown Eyes
It was a passing glance
Then a double take
WOW

Brown Eyes
Soft
Smiling
Smothering

The thoughts that I shouldn’t be looking are foremost
No, I won’t look
For to look again would be to lust
lust of the eye is Sin

But alas, I cannot help it, for to look also is to feel an unknown thirst
To look hastens the beat of my heart
To look is to relive passions;
feelings buried deep within the abysses of my heart

The urge to look brings memories of Lots Wife
Will I forever be change should I look?
Dare I?
Alas
I shall!!

I’ve looked And,
My heart smiles
For I see everything I feel
Reflected in the Brown Eyes I behold
Brown eyes that reflect desires, passions, dreams and love
Brown eyes that make promises of sweat under dark clouds
Brown eyes that promise a lifetime of joy and happiness unknown

Alas
I’ve looked
And, I’ve lived.
Promises fulfilled.
Sated desires.
Fulfilled dreams.
