The need for Masonry to engage in a sustained analysis of the Masonic landscape in the “spirit of open-mindedness, tolerance, judiciousness …virtues which are quintessential to their inherited legacies, rich and diverse traditions”, has been stressed by Mr. Edward Carter, President of the Liberian Community in MN, St. Paul. Speaking recently at the 17th Anniversary Celebration of the Teta Labertus Lodge #17 in St. Paul, Minnesota, on the theme: “Reaching out in unity…to build a bridge of light and understanding,” Mr. Carter, who is also a mason, said there is a litanies of misconceptions that continue to inundate societies about, “our noble order which has stifled our growth and often brought us to public disrepute.”
