The U.S. Embassy is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Accountant/Administrative Assistantwithin the Financial Management Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The position provides basic accounting functions in the Financial Management Office (FMO) and support services in the area of clerical and administrative duties as well as voucher processing and examination.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
--Reconciliation of signed receiving reports with inventory for ICASS/Program allocations; receive and review Purchase Orders (PO) and vendor invoices for error; journal entries for cost allocations.
--Process Accounts Receivables (AR); track ICASS charges; invoice customers; follow-up on customer’s inquiries; research queries in WinACS; research to determine the validity of obligations; one-time special project as assigned by the Financial Supervisor or Manager; act as back-up to assigned Financial Assistant.
--Answer telephone; log cables into shared drive; log and file Cash Vouchers and update OBO reposts; up-date ODC, MSG, and status reports; update Master Filing System (SF-1166 and Cashier Transactions); up-date inventory receiving reports; drafts outgoing cables and track time and attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-- Bachelor Degree in Accounting is required. Clerical training is required.
-- 2-3 years accounting experience working as an accountant is required.
-- Must have basic accounting knowledge and be familiar with processing vouchers and postings.
-- Must have basic computer knowledge (word processing and excel spreadsheet);
-- Must have the ability to handle basic administrative functions and be able to deal tactfully with customers and other staff.
-- Must have level I typing skills (at least 30 words per minute).
-- Level IV (fluent) in spoken and written English is required.
