Reports reaching LiberianSoccer.com have it that former SC Bastia hit man; Prince Daye is making a case for inclusion by showing up in uninvited at the Lone Star Camp in Germany.
Prince Daye was last on the radar trying to get a Spot on David Beckham's LA galaxy team of the MLS in the USA. He was cut after training camp. His form right now is suspect since as he is club less.
This development is interesting because the new Lone Star coach , Hey did not invite the player to the camp. What is still being investigated is why did the coach allow Daye to attend the camp.
The investigation of this development revealed that Daye contacted the LFA and asked for inclusion. He was told that if he could make his own way to Germany and prove his worth he will be given an opportunity to don the colors once more
Daye last played for Liberia when he captained the Lone Star against Guinea at a match played in Ghana because of the fighting in Monrovia.
As soccer fans can recall that team was made up of the Buduburam refugee camp team in Ghana. Daye scored the only goal for Liberia and was man of the match.
Daye was an important part of the team when Weah and co made the run to qualifying for the World Cup. He was a pup on that team but the talent level he displayed at that time forced him to become a Starter.
With 4 games in one month, and players having professional obligations. The lone Star can use all the available hands on deck.
If he is in form, and ready to fight for Lone Star shirt. There should be no reason why he should not be part of the team
