her words brought you closer to God

Mission;

[i]February 4. 2010 marks a year since you left us. The reality and finality of your passing struck us like a bolt of lightning.

Unexpected, shocking, painful. Realizing a life without your smile, your encouraging words, your calming aura filled us with dread and disbelief

Though you may no longer be with us in person, you have left numerous mementos that we will forever cherish and value: your unshakable faith, your amazing resilience, your wonderful personality and your calm in the midst of storms.

If word, tears or wishes could bring you back, we would be rejoicing at your return, but lo, your maker wanted you to rest

And whilst we miss you, ewe rejoice that you are in a place free of pain, disappointments and regrets

fitting for the one we love so deeply that we pretend that she is still in the US. that is why we do not see you everyday or seek advice on work, children, husband, our relationship with God...we pretend and it helps.

we love you. we will never forget your love that was more. we miss you but what you gave us when you were here, remains. we talk about you but know that you taught and prayed for us sufficiently.

the space remains...the tears come...we wish and wish but you are where you need to be-Resting and at PEACE!

brenda...peace mama. this is a long journey...one that she prepared you for-tho never enough. chin up-no one could have a more amazing mom than Mission. you see how we almost stole her from you?

thanks a lot Korto...
you are right.. i tell myself that she isnt really dead.. and no more, but in the States, getting treatment and just simply out of communication....

but there are days when reality hits and i have to admit, she will never call me again.. or see my achievements or fuss with me... i miss her.. thinking baout it at times is like scraping an open wound... but, time heals....

The pinch of pain

Questions arise
Many remain unanswered

Consumed by grief!
Grasping for breath

What a sweet tribute...Hugs and kisses to both of you.... Unfortunately each and everyone of us has to join this club some time in our lives...Kujumuku.... Nevertheless our departed loved ones continue to live in our hearts, our lives... You never get over the hurt, the pain, but you do learn to cope.....yes with time.....
