Prayer Request: The brain tumor surgery is scheduled for 8-29-2008

Members of the village, I come to you with some sad news and I’m requesting that we all take a moment to say a prayer for one of our beloved village member.

One member was diagnosed with a brain tumor a few years back, but the doctors opted to leave it alone because it was not growing and was on the side of the brain that controlled movement and speech. During a recent routine check up, the doctors has now revealed that the tumor has drastically grown. They do not know what has trigger the growth, but it’s now covering a large side of the brain and the surgery to remove it has to be done immediately : smile_sad

They will be flying into MD for the pre opt work this Saturday and will be undergoing this major surgery on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, that’s only 9 days from now.

Right now I don’t know what to say or do Sad

, I am shocked and scared. Prayer is the only answer right now, because the God that I believe in has the power to heal and restore. We will leave it all up to him.

One thing I am absolutely cnovinced of is that God controls everything! We are all often blessed by being in the presecne of people whom God has cast a special annointing on and this village member of ours' is one such person. Things may appear difficult right now but I believe this is part of God's continuing strategy to show us all the power of his love.

Special note to my friend: My friend, your work is no where near done yet. God is merely preparing you further for tasks yet ahead of you. As you know, Gold without fire is not pure gold. So consider this part of a joyous blessing that God is pouring out on you. Be eoncouraged. Don't despair at all. Not for one minute!

Scriptures says God won't give you more than you can bare and i believe he wont take our village bro/sis to a trial he can't take him/her through. my prayers are with you brethren. Stay blessed.
