The pinch of pain
Is never known
Never expected
Till you feel that pierce
That stab
You never know there exists levels of pain
Till you lose one so dear, so close
So cherished

Dull pain
Sharp pain
Aching pain
Throbbing pain
Painful pain
To each, its own twist
Its own tug

Questions arise
Many remain unanswered
Why me? Why her? Why now?

Consumed by grief!
Grasping for breath
Slowly
In, Out, In, Out
Present a brave, stoic, happy façade
Smile! Laugh!

I can’t! Too much pain
It’s so hard to breath
Hard to remember without wincing
The feeling of heavily weighed
Dead weight
The futility of erasing
The ache, deep throbbing ache

This pinch I feel
Was never expected
Or wanted
But feel it I must

I feel ya!

Where is the Love…

True Love, some say causes no pain

What then does the brokenhearted say?

Was their love not true?

They wanted love, needed love, craved love

but scars show aloud and bright as their reward for giving chance to finding true love.

Words they say are easily spoken yet have the power to cause so much hurt

Lies that destroys, vain promises that give empty hopes

How much of you can u give, till you can give no more

What words can you say, till you can say no more

How much hurt can you take, till you can hurt no more

Where is the love

The love that seemed promise to transcend through time

To bring light and joy and happiness like no other except the Lord’s

To keep you safe and give you hope and understanding when all seem lost

Where is that love

Where is the smile

The smile that should one awake to

The laughter that one craves to hear

The arms that one longs to hold

The kiss that one ache to feel

Where, where, where?

Today
My day
Just another day

I count
My age
On a stage

Achievements
Discount mischief
What's so important?

Dead
and gone
I had a nice day

Man

So the holy ghost

Works well with the spirit of sinner man

It

Abhors a woman’s blood

But loves her trials

And cents

It loves david

And cain and definitely jesus

But the spirit of a woman

Must take a monthly exit

An exit from non-existent power

An exit from silent decision-making

An exit from the love of God

Hmmm…

A man’s biology is intentional and spotless

Spilling blood sometimes accidentally

Murders and wars

Never a natural flow

Taking quarters out of populations

Their blood and their spirits

Never a natural flow

162
New Anthem For an Old Nation

All hail, Liberia, hail
The surmounting of Liberty’s birth travail
The oppression and dehumanization
The cultural nullification and self-imposed sovereign domination
The sacrifice of our traditions and our intrinsic identity
The rivers of the people’s blood sweat and tears
Shed forging this nation for one hundred and sixty-two years.

Hail, all, Liberia, all
Our struggles in the ignominious company
Of nations likewise birthed tumultuously
Amidst betrayed trusts and self-serving allegiances
Unholy Crusades and Manifest Destiny’s deluded bliss
For every fledgling nation must learn as it grows
Heeding the lessons of the child that scrapes its knees and scuffs its nose

So hail, Liberia, triumphantly hail
For we cannot toss baby Liberty out with the dirty bath water
We cannot withhold our indomitable spirit from our sons and daughters
For their true independence lies in the sacred trust
Inextricably and solely incumbent upon us
To never engage in the self-destruction of negating
The naked truth that our tattered yet resilient legacy is worthy of celebrating

I was looking for a picture of my grandmother to use for her funeral program
and came across a picture of me on my wedding day, with my mother putting
the final touches to my dressing that day. This inspired the lines below:

Blessed

Blessed am I among women!
Privileged, honored, distinguished
To have had, to have known
Such an inspiring, thoughtful and loving woman
A Proverbs 31 woman.

On the day I said “ I do”, She was there,
functioning in her many roles
calming bridal jitters, pulling up garters,
Setting the tiara upon my head.
Her eyes shone with love, pride, joy
they also brimmed with tears
It was a fulfillment of her dreams
The little one she had watched take her first steps
was now taking steps into matrimonial bliss.

Blessed am I among women!
Privileged, honored, distinguished
To have known such a woman
To have watched her play her many roles, wear her many caps
On the day I said “I do”, she was on both sides of the picture
Officiating, mothering, advising, preaching
And when she said “repeat after me”
I said, “I Do”
She was my friend, my Pastor, my Twin
She was my mother.

Blessed am I among women.
Rest in peace mama.

In Loving memory of my mother, Adelaide Anderson Supuwood, who died on February 4, 2009 at age 48 from Breast cancer.

So, tomorrow you are leaving
When the sun beams break the skyline
So, tomorrow you are leave
When the Cock crows at sunlight
So, tomorrow you are leaving
When the Firefinch leaves her nest
So tomorrow you are leaving
When my heart is shattered

NO

Is the world better today?
Yes, the world was better yesterday
Yesterday when we had
No lights - just moon and sun lights
No knives - just flints
No guns - just primitive fun
No technology - just Stone Age
No skyscrapers - just cage

Is the world better tomorrow?
Yes, the world is better today
Today we have
Electricity - global warming and oil crisis
Nuclear might - to make peace (war)
Information Age - to make life easy (complicated)

I wish tomorrow is not born
But do you think the world will get better?
